Brymbo Exhibition
On saturday 25th october the exhibition went up in Brymbo. It was a really good day. We managed to get everything finished on time with the exception of a few photographs which could have been displayed better. There was a much bigger turn out than what we could have hoped for and we even had the mayor and mayoress come down and have a look. Everyone was really impressed with what we had done, we even had a complement off the mayor. There was one room which we did not intend to use but people kept going in there. As the mayor was going round we quickly ran into the room to give it a tidy up. Overall I believe it was a good success and really valuable as a professional practice module. I now hope that the entire project at Brymbo can be pushed forward and that I can have more input in the future.

The Vinyl Countdown
There is now one more day until the Brymbo Exhibition and everything is at panic stations. The backdrop is up and painted along with the plinths but, we haven't got the vinyl yet!! This should have been completed by now but time has gone against us. I was quite concerned that we did not have enough copy but, two days ago we received some boards from an exhibition which went up in Bersham early in the summer. They were apparently going to throw them away, which would have been a waste. The boards will be really helpful for us as we did not have enough time or money to get all that information. The only problem now is how to display them without it looking like we have just thrown it all together. I think we can pull it off. We still need to get everything else up there tomorrow though. Time is running out really fast!

the eye of the storm
Since tuesday we have managed to get some wire mesh for the backdrop of the Brymbo exhibition and have been across to a print shop to order our 3 metre long Brymbo- shaped by its people sign which is going to be on vinyl. The idea is to use some plaster board to mount the vinyl on and then attach it to the wire mesh. We need to try this method out as soon as we can to make sure it works! We also have to transport the plinths up to Brymbo, as well as the mesh. The main problem we have is how to display the photographs on the plinths. We priced up some Perspex but, the cost will be too high as we need so much of it. Time to think of a plan B! Other than the photographs and the possibility of the mesh crashing down half way through the exhibition, we are roughly half way through the time and things are on target.
